Special note: the folks in Shadowhaven are a surly bunch, and most won't serve you, regardless of who/what you are, unless you've done some faction work (or unless you can sweet-talk them somehow)

The Black Kettle (16)

Notes: The bar is upstairs; you can buy stew downstairs. The place is small and deserted, truly a hole in the wall, just like they claim. Nice place to go if you want to drink in solitude and get a nice dinner, but whoever put the bar upstairs and no rail on the stairs was just plain mean - ouchie.

Notes: They say this place can get rowdy but it's usually been pretty calm, usually patronized by a few grimly quiet knights off duty. Go next door to the Trade Commision and talk to Trade Commisioner Henry for a good faction quest.

Notes: Still one of my favorite bars. Not much for atmosphere but always has a friendly staff and crowd; nothing like a drunken dwarf sing-along (all dwarves are bards - just ask them). Maybe a little too friendly - some guy asked me to dance last time I was there.

Notes: Not the friendliest place, but a fair selection of Luclin brews. There's an oven outside, and a few rooms to flop in upstairs. A bard trainer is here, but he's kind of a jerk.

Notes: several rooms to sleep in, but this bar is tucked in a far corner of Shadowhaven.

Other

Of note, the only place (that I've found) in Shadowhaven to get Dinoli's Golden Heffeweizin, Lardalon's Double Porter, and Paludal Fishwine is from the shorty merchants in the Stout section of town (including Dinoli himself) (35). Fishing freaks can also get a +2% fishing pole and +2% bait here.

The Bazaar

Notes: Just a little bar on the second floor of the merchant building, but well stocked. Used to be a quiet little place; now that the Bazaar is overrun by traders - it's still a quiet little place, far from most of the craziness.

Notes: Pretty, pretty, pretty city. Pretty freaking boring. All the pubs are about the same in this pathologically neat and tidy city, Sanctus Sterile. The spacious taverns are packed with citizens, but they can barely say "Greetings, Xingu" before they nervously go back to sipping their booze. Don't spit on the floor.
